I am located in Munich, Germany where I am a Technical Manager in the Distributed Platforms group for a leading IT solution provider serving the tourism and travel industry. With over 20 years experience in the IT field I have supported Microsoft Networking Products for most of my career, from Lan Manager running on Unix and OS/2, managing migrations from these platforms to NT3.1 – NT3.51 all the way through to Windows Server 2008 r2 today and no doubt beyond! Since 2002 I have been involved also in the support, development and management of VMware ESX infrastructure through to the current vSphere incarnation.

I have held MCP certification since 1995, MCSE since 1998 and a VCP since 2006. I have previously held CCNA certification.

My career has lead me to experience living in several countries where I have held positions both as a contractor and permanent employee capacities. I have worked for leading IT companies in the hardware, software and networking sectors as well as other large global companies, each leaders in their own respective sectors.

Outside of IT I enjoy travel, participating in sport, mostly football and playing guitar.
